Psychology at Oxford Brookes has a thriving community of research active staff and research scholars. We work with health and education professionals as well as partners in industry to develop knowledge and understanding that informs policy and improves people’s lives. We continue to attract significant funding awards from bodies including the ESRC, Burdett Trust for Nursing, Technology Strategy Board, and the Leverhulme Trust.
We offer a number of flexible research degree opportunities including MPhil and PhD across a number of areas namely Developmental Psychology, Cognition and Neuroscience and Qualitative Methods. The quality and impact of our research has been reflected in the UK government’s latest Research Assessment Exercise, where the majority of our research was judged to be world leading or of international standing.
You will have opportunities to work alongside one of the UK’s largest groups of developmental psychologists, undertake an innovative training programme and develop interdisciplinary links with colleagues from other departments, at other institutions and with the wider community. To support your learning, we offer a wide range of support from expert supervision and IT guidance to a programme of research seminars and excellent facilities.
